    Microsoft’s Azure Speech listens to each take and scores every sound. The free tier covers about 5 hours of audio a month, thousands of takes.

    1. Go to portal.azure.com and sign in or make a free account.
    2. Create a resource, search Speech, pick Microsoft’s Speech service, then Create.
    3. Pick a region near you (East US is fine) and the Free F0 pricing tier, then Review + create.
    4. Open the resource, go to Keys and Endpoint, and copy KEY 1 and the Location/Region into the boxes below.

    The key is saved only on this laptop, in tongue-lab/.env.
